OCTOBER IN EBELTOFT: OPEN SHOPS & EBELFESTIVAL
On EbeltoftBy on Facebook you’ll find an overview of a lot of exciting activities throughout October, and on this page we’ve chosen to highlight a selection of the MANY activities and experiences you can have in Ebeltoft in week 42, in connection with the popular Ebelfestival.
ACTIVITIES EVERY DAY
10am – 5pm, Bryggertorvet – large heated tent Cafe with coffee/tea/cocoa and cold drinks, homemade cake.
Freshly baked apple slices with sugar and apple sauce.
Artisans with exciting goods for sale 10-17, Maltfabrikken Exhibition of this year’s competition posters.

10-17, Lodvigs Torv – theme tent Inspiration for sustainability Exhibitions, workshops, knowledge sharing and games/competitions for the whole family.(See the official program on pages 14-15)10am-5pm, The Harbour In the tent on the harbor areas there will be the opportunity to see, taste, smell and buy the products that local producers associated with Molbordet produce in our local area.(see all activities at the Harbour on page 20 in the official program) 11am-5pm, The little train The train runs around the city and down to the harbor with many stops along the way.

ACTIVITIES SATURDAY 12. OCTOBER.
10:00 Opening procession Come and join us as we open the Ebel Festival 2024!
We’ll all meet at the old fishing port and parade through the city to Rådhustorvet.
Apples will, as usual, arrive with apple pods that are sailed into the fishing harbor.
The apples are loaded into vintage cars.At 10.15 am, the procession gathers with the Scouts and Ebeltoft Garden The procession gathers and leaves with the Scouts first and Ebeltoft Garden provides the music.
This is followed by the vintage cars with the apples, Det lille tog, Ebeltoft Løb- og Motion, Den Gamle Brandbil, and then everyone who wants to follow.
The procession arrives at Rådhustorvet and Ebeltoft Garden entertains.Kl. 11-15, Visual arts for children and young people – S.A. Jensens Vej 1 Kunstskolen Syddjurs is holding a mule bag workshop.
Come and print your own mule bags in our cozy rooms at the old post office.
The workshop is free – children under 9 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Organizer: Kunstskolen i Syddjurs 13-17, Ebeltoft i generne 8400, Klub K – Toldbodvej 1 Once again this year there will be a reunion for people with roots in Ebeltoft – both permanent residents and those who have moved away.
This year, KLUB K on Toldbodvej will open its doors so the event can be held there.
The venue used to be called the Klods Hans disco and before that it was home to Ebeltoft Andelsmejeri until 1974.
Ebelfestival is happy to collaborate with the owners of KLUB K and we hope that many people with Ebeltoft roots will show up.
Admission is free!

14:00, Alsang med Rådyr v.
Jakob & Olivia – Bryggertorvets tent Rådyr will treat you to string games and pithy phrases in celebration of love, life and the Creator himself; We play an exquisite selection of songs and hymns – organic and spiritual with due respect for the songsmiths of the time; So open your heart, your ears and your throat – and let the song light you up from within. 14.30-15.15, Molboistorier Live – Adelgade 7 Molboer tells – of course – Molbo stories and also a little about the other crazy, quirky existences on Jyllands Nose.
Sometimes we get so excited that a little game comes out of it, before the problem of the stork, the church bell, the eel in the pond, the hole in the ground and many other episodes always find a solution with the help of the “wise men” – to everyone’s satisfaction – (and perhaps the indulgent amusement of the spectators).
Free admission. 15:00, Coffee concert – in Ebeltoft Sognegård Violinist Clara Richter-Bæk and pianist Emil Gryesten present a large and varied program with works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Carl Nielsen and César Franck.

At 9, 10, and 11 am, “Apple-walk” from Spejdergården – Dråbyvej 9 Hikes of 5, 10, 21 and 28 km.
Participation fee 25kr.

Come and pour coffee in your head, get the folk high school songbook in your hand, and let your heart be filled with good energy. 10 am, Socialt Ebelløb – meeting point Havnevej 13 (the lawn behind Restaurant Stockflet)
Put on your running shoes and come along.
Approx. 3 – 7 – 11 km and all routes are flat.
Registration is not necessary.

11 am, Apple service in Ebeltoft Church In the church, we celebrate the town’s big Ebelfestival with a high mass where the church is decorated with apples and the church’s adult choir comes and sings harvest songs and fall songs.
After the service, there will be church coffee and apple cake. 11:30-14, Music in the street Mobile Jazz plays festive music – meet them on the city streets and squares. 12 noon, Hen shitting – Rådhustorvet Come and guess where the hen shits.
Win a small prize if you guess correctly.
Organizer: Special club for Faverolles hens in Denmark At 12, 13 and 14 o’clock, the scales go for a walk around the city
14:00, Children from MGP – EBIC Østerallé 17 Indoor event at Ebeltoft Idræts- og Kulturcenter.
Come and hear the famous voices from the children’s MGP.
It will be a party, come and join us!
Opportunity for autographs and selfies after the concert.
Doors open already at 13:00.
Everyone gets a freshly squeezed apple juice at the entrance and refreshments can be purchased in the Sports Center.

Any surplus tickets can be purchased at the entrance. 14:00, Ebeltoft Folkedansere – start at Rådhustorvet Experience happy folk dancers in beautiful costumes performing traditional folk dances accompanied by wonderful accordion playing.
The dance starts at Rådhustorvet and continues in Jernbanegade and ends at Bryggertorvet. 14:00, Alsang med Rådyr v.

- MOLDS – get close to the way of life of the small animals and see what you can do to “feed” the many moles in the compost heap – with the help of staff from Karpenhøj Nature Center.
