Welcome to the Ebel Festival 2025: October 11 – 18
When autumn colors Ebeltoft golden and the scent of freshly squeezed must spreads through the streets, it’s time again for Ebelfestival – a week where the whole town buzzes with life, smiles and experiences. From 11-18 October 2025, we invite you to the 21st edition of the festival, where we celebrate the apple in all its shapes and colors.
The Ebel Festival is much more than a market – it’s a festival where local forces, shops, cultural institutions, associations and volunteers join forces to create an experience that offers something for everyone. Here you can taste the best apples, musts and specialties of autumn, explore craft stalls, enjoy music in the streets or take the kids for fun and creative activities.
The festival offers everything from traditional events – such as the apple parade, community singing and the poster of the year – to new experiences such as sustainability workshops, glass mosaics, maritime activities at the harbor and performances at Fregatten Jylland.
Whether you come for the food, the music, the fun or the history, a very special atmosphere awaits you in Ebeltoft in week 42. There’s room for both young and old, for community and contemplation, for nostalgia and renewal.

A festival for all the senses
The Ebel Festival is a unique folk festival where local businesses, associations, cultural institutions and artists join forces to create an atmospheric week of events:
– Marketplaces with fresh apples, juice and delicacies
– Music and entertainment in streets, squares and tents
– Activities for children and families with children
– Traditions, history and exciting new features
Highlights of the year
– Parade and official opening on Saturday, October 11, with the apples arriving in town on apple cushions and vintage cars.
– The PitStop tent on Jernbanegade with daily music, jam sessions and socializing.
– Children’s activities in Fedt Mikkels Gang, Lodvigs Torv and at Fregatten Jylland, where you can experience magic, theater and creative workshops.
– Sustainability inspiration – build birdhouses, make insect hotels and learn about the natural cycle.
– Cake competitions, sing-alongs and communal dining at the city’s eateries – cozy traditions that bring together locals and visitors alike.
– Closing party at Torvet on Saturday, October 18, where we will announce the winning poster for next year’s festival.

The festival takes place every day in week 42 from 10-17.

Christmas in Ebeltoft 2025 – experience the magical Christmas town
Look forward to an enchanting weekend when Christmas in Ebeltoft kicks off in earnest on November 15 and 16, 2025. The city will be transformed into an atmospheric Christmas village in Ebeltoft, where Christmas lights, cozy Christmas stalls and exciting activities create an experience for the whole family.
Program Saturday, November 15, 2025
– 14:00: The guards walk around the city spreading Christmas cheer.
– 15: 00: Santa arrives at the harbor – a festive tradition that brings together young and old alike.
– 10-15: The shops in Ebeltoft are open with lots of great offers.
– 10-15: The harbor is buzzing with open activities.
– All day: Glas, Fregatten and Malten are open, and the city’s cozy Christmas stalls are ready with Christmas spirit, gifts and treats.
Program on Sunday 16 November 2025
– 12, 13 and 14: The scales sing at City Hall.
– All day: Christmas clips at Maltfabrikken – a creative experience for children and adults.
– 11-15: City shops and the harbor are open.
– 11-15: The Christmas stalls are ready with Christmas cheer and inspiration.
– Glass and Frigate are open.
– 14:00: Choirs entertain on the square and create a festive Christmas atmosphere.
